Marketing Strategy with LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®

Uptimize believes in the power of a strong marketing strategy. Part of our onboarding process is meeting with every client to deeply understand their business and build a marketing strategy geared toward their market and goals.

Great strategy is developed from within an organization: no one knows your business better than you and your team. Unfortunately, getting the team together, focused and participating is a challenge.

Our method for building a powerful strategy with input from your entire team is LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®.

What is LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, and why do we use it?

The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Method is a way to get ideas out of people’s heads and into three-dimensional objects so they can be better seen, understood, discussed and resolved.

Generally, 20% of the people do 80% of the talking in a traditional strategy meeting, and great ideas from most are left unseen and unheard. Though people may say they agree with the solution presented, most of the time, a vast majority do not. An LSP workshop brings together an entire team and encourages 100% participation from 100% of the people present, leading to incredible insights and total buy-in from everyone at the table.

The results are amazing.

Facilitating a session further helps Uptimize understand your business more quickly and thoroughly so we can develop and implement marketing plans that really work!

While we don’t have to use the LSP method to develop strategy, it is our preferred method because the results are so efficient and clear. Plus, it's all done with LEGO bricks, so what could be more fun?

What does an LSP strategy session look like?

When we meet to develop your strategy using LSP, you get:

  • A 4- or 8-hour session with full engagement from all team members included in the process, providing you insight into your employees’ understanding of what your business is and who you serve
  • A powerful brand strategy deeply connected to your values and business goals
  • A partner marketing firm that now understands your business and market and can seamlessly plug in as needed to support your strategy
  • Board strategy session—get your volunteers focused on the high-level strategy and out of the weeds; the board should drive the strategy; staff and committees support that strategy

LSP is most effective in-person; however, if you are not located in the Oklahoma City area or easily able to get here, we can work out virtual options. Contact us any time to learn more.
